Desde 1982

El Cranc Chiringuito is located in one of the most beautiful towns on the Costa Blanca, precisely in Altea.

Our municipality has one of the most attractive bays in the Mediterranean, full of coves and transparent waters that invite you to dive into them. The beach bar is located exactly in the game of La Olla. Emerging from the water, in front of the beach, is one of the best qualities of this L'Illeta area. And there, as a result of the passion between the two, is our establishment.

El Cranc was founded more than 30 years ago by Pepa Bañuls and José Ángel Navarro Barranqui. The curious name of the beach bar was devised on one of the nights in August 1982 while preparations were made for the opening. That night, the crabs were climbing from the beach to the terrace, so our uncle Juan thought it would be a good idea to call him "El Cranc".

To this day, despite the evolution that comes with the passing of the years, we are still located in the same place and enjoying the same visual pleasures that the location offers.

Our intention is to offer visitors the power to enjoy our little paradise together with delicious Mediterranean cuisine.

From here, the setting of the sun and the rising of the moon are a free hors d'oeuvres to be tasted, with the only existing tick imposed by the waves. The rest is in charge of Pepa & Vicente's team.
